Viking Angel III is a beautiful 40 ft. Catalina

sloop. It is truly ready for Lake Superior

sailing, capable of 9 knots under sail or

7.5 knots motoring. It is equipped with

radar and GPS chart plotting, roller

furling headsail and full battened mainsail.

Spacious staterooms fore and aft are

each equipped with private heads.

The galley and salon easily accommodate six adults for relaxation or gourmet

dining. The large cockpit with twin steering stations and wind protection

make the trip exciting and enjoyable. Access to the water for swimming,

kayaking or boarding the dinghy is a breeze through the large swim platform.

It is equipped for Lake Trout fishing and has a gas grill for preparing the catch

Lake Superior weather during the summer

can vary greatly. Bring a variety of clothing,

because swim suits may be the order one

hour and Polartec the next. The water may be

clear and inviting, but it mainly is too cool for

swimming. We have lifejackets for the kayaks

and heavy weather. If you have a favorite,

bring it along. We will be hiking and touring

lighthouses, as well as downtown Bayfield.

Viking Angel III has 2 heads, both with showers. We carry 11O gal. of water, and

have an 11 gallon water heater. It won't be like going to the boundary waters.

You will have your own soft bed, and we have full galley facilities. Let us know

about any special dietary needs, or bring along your favorite snacks or

beverages. Alcohol is okay. See you on the Norwegian Riviera.
